Strolling Past the Bookstore with Clouds

Strolling Past the Bookstore with Clouds - 7257.jpg

Experimenting with the Zone System on an early morning in Portland, OR. Sometimes all the pieces just come together - and sometimes you wait patiently for the shot. This one was the latter - I loved the composition, and knew it had room for one more element - someone crossing the street at the lower left.

Is this image captured with the Canon 16-35 L f/2.8?

...love this shot! I stayed with it for several minutes of wondering about the titles and the room to spend time reading between the stacks and the glass window. I wondered if the passerby had gathered a parcel full of books and left from a door around the corner. The image invites imagination. ...captivating. -mg

Yes, it was shot with the Canon 16-35 f/2.8L at 16mm. You can see all the technical details of the shot here: http://www.flickr.com/photo_exif.gne?id=459535925

I'm glad you guys like the picture! I love it when I visualize a picture and then make it happen in the way I had in my mind when I was there.
