First TUG meeting tonight in SF!

Tonight is the first meeting of Techorati's first User Group, the San Francisco Techorati User Group (SFTUG!). The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. at 21st Amendment (in the loft area) in San Francisco. Niall Kennedy, the TUG founder, will give an overview of Technorati and dive into its APIs. Many of us from Technorati will be there as well.

On behalf of everyone at Technorati, a big thank you to Niall for starting our first ever TUG and we hope to see some of you tonight!

David, I wanted to personally say congratulations on your first TUG meeting. I think you guys are doing some great things with blogs and using API technology to not just benefit Technorat but to also benefit its users. It's amazing to think about the user group focus shifting from a programming language focus to an API focus. I'm sure you've thought about that before but I think this seemingly insignificant event (SFTUG) has much larger ramifications. I believe it's just a sign of more to come and time will tell. Congrats!

It's great that you're providing not only information about blogs, but a suite of tools bloggers can use to increase the value of the information they provide and consume.
